The County Clerk acts as the County Recorder, Registrar of Vital Statistics and the Clerk of all County Courts, including Commissioners Court. | Dear Friends: Thank you for choosing me to serve as your County Clerk nearly 8 years ago: it has been my honor. I am again asking you to choose me once more to serve as your County Clerk - based on my record of accomplishment. I made good on my campaign promises of four years ago, then I worked hard to make them even better! I have increased the public's accessibility to my office and to the information within. I have increased the services we provide and improved the manner with which it is provided. I have developed, implemented and improved the security and integrity of the information in this Office and the money handling procedures, as promised. And with my leadership we have met rapid growth without just increasing the size of the staff! I am proud of all that has been accomplished in three years. In 2004, we were recognized by the Texas Association of Counties as a Best Practices Superior Innovation Award Winner! By being the first Clerk in the State of Texas to implement an electrionc filing program for land records we became recognized Nationwide, not just throughout Texas. There are many programs that I have started and with your support and vote on March 7th, I will be able to see them to completion. I have worked hard to insure the County Clerk's Office provides capable service and to insure that our customers have a good experience while in my office. The County Clerk's Office is an important responsibility, with 5 departments and a staff of over 50; one that is very serious to me and complex. I care about this office, that our statutory obligations are met with the highest degree of service - because I care about the taxpayers and my customers. My office touches almost everyone's life at one time or another. I would like to insure that when it touches your life, you are treated with the respect, courtesy and professionalism that your deserve.
