Modernized Procedures for Efficiency and Security
Better Trained Staff, thus Better Service
Improving the staff's training and knowledge was a top priority for me coming into this office because I care about the quality of service provided to our customers!

We have successfully implemented a series of training and on-going support for the clerks that are assisting customers everyday from basic customer service skills, telephone skills, basic communication skills and certainly better on-the-job training for the detailed skills and knowledge required to provide top quality customer service and assistance.

The training programs that we have implemented have been a huge success and welcomed by our employees!
"It is almost as if our accomplishments are continual, and maybe because they really are.  The County Clerk's office was seriously neglected when I took office in 1999, and the progress we have made is astounding!  It is also noticed by our many customers.  I am told on a regular basis what a great job we are doing!  I am very proud!"  -Cynthia Mitchell
2004 TAC Best Practices Award Winner - Superior Innovation!
In 2003, my office was the first in the State of Texas to implement an electronic filing system for real property records - increasing efficiency and security.  Not only has this given our office State-wide recognition, but it has also set us as a standard for all other records in the Nation.
